AAF Greenville Announces 2013 ADDY® Award Winners
GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 20, 2013) – The 2013 ADDY® Award winners were announced at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Greenville’s annual awards gala held at Zen, downtown Greenville, on Feb. 16, 2013. The ADDY Awards is the industry’s largest and most representative competition. The mission of the competition is to award creative excellence in the art of advertising.
Best of Show and top honors went to Ferebee Lane + Company for their “Pass it On Potluck” created for Le Creuset of America. They also took home a Special Judge’s Award for work done for Le Creuset of America.
Erwin-Penland earned a Special Judge’s Award for work done for Verizon in the Television – Regional/National – Products category for their NFL Mobile TV Campaign. Worthwhile earned a MOSAIC Award for their website work for A Child’s Haven in the Public Service category.
Other winners included Cargo, Zwo, Jackson Marketing Group, Photoelectric, Slant, Synnex, and SC Tourism.
Melody Jung of Bob Jones University was awarded the Student Best of Show ADDY for her “Primula Tea Package Design in the category of Packaging Sales Promotion. Anderson University student Bethany Greene earned a Student Special Judges Award in the Publication Series Design category. 13 Gold ADDYs and 19 Silver ADDYs were awarded to students from both Anderson University and Bob Jones University.
With more than 300 professional and student entries in 100+ Categories, AAF Greenville’s entries were strong in both number and content. Entries were judged by industry professionals Peter Kehr, Art Director and Designer at 22squared in Atlanta, GA, Scott Kirk, Group Account Director at Concussion in Fort Worth, TX, and Jeff Matz, founding partner at Lure Design in Orlando, FL.
The three-tier ADDY Competition recognizes achievement on local, district and national levels. AAF Greenville Gold ADDY winners advance to the AAF District 3 competition on March 23. District Gold Winners advance to the AAF National Competition and National winners will be honored at the AAF National Conference on June 8 in Phoenix, Arizona.
AAF Greenville is a local market affiliate of the American Advertising Federation that encourages professional development through seminars, award presentations, networking and industry leader recognition.
